Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a #CoronaRita at Chili’s!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Chili’s Grill & Bar for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Saturday is Cinco de Mayo! Do you have any big plans? Luke is off of work so I’m sure we’ll be doing something. I don’t think I’ve actually celebrated Cinco de Mayo since my freshman year of college and let’s face it… everything is celebrated then. But, I do want to go out and have a few drinks this year. Luke has been in a training school for work all week and I think it’d be fun for us to just wind down, relax, and have some adult beverages. We will probably invite some friends to go with us, too. Chili’s has a new drink out right now that would actually be perfect for Cinco de Mayo. It’s called the CoronaRita! Made with Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila and Coronita, they’re calling it the CoronaRita Margarita!

I’m a margarita lover so I’d definitely like to give this CoronaRita at Chili's a try. I bet it’d go great with some Skillet Queso, Boneless Buffalo Wings, or even the Southwestern Egg Rolls! Or, we might also get something from the $20 Dinner for 2 Menu since it comes with an appetizer and two full-sized entrees for such a cheap price! With entrĂ©e options like the Quesadilla Explosion Salad, Margarita Grilled Chicken, and Chicken Fajitas – there’s definitely great choices of food to pair with the CoronaRita. I might also go with the Classic Sirloin or Bacon Ranch Chicken Quesadillas. It’s so hard to choose because everything sounds amazing! Either way, I am so looking forward to a night out with my friends and enjoying some adult time!

Distracting links

Written by my friend Dong Wood

My friend from work sent me this link, www.directstartv.com, so I could see the services she has at her house. I mentioned to her that my husband and I were thinking about switching our TV provider because we felt we were not getting the best service possible. She mentioned that her provider was really reliable and not really expensive. Those were definitely the two things I needed to hear to get me interested since those were my complaints about my current provider. It was probably not the best idea for her to send me the link while we were at work, though. I got awfully distracted looking at different services we could have set up and channel packaged. It definitely was not the first time I have been easily distracted at work unfortunately. My job is not all that demanding so it is not hard for my co-workers or anything really to distract me from the monotonous work I do in data spreadsheets. I think one day another co-worker sent me about eight videos to watch on YouTube. I watched them throughout the day to break up my work. I am sure my boss would not be crazy about the fact that I was doing that, but at the end of the day, all of my work is always done!

Walgreens Prescription Savings Club

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

The week of Christmas Luke started a new job. With a new job typically comes new insurance. For us, our new insurance will start next month and I don't know too much about it yet. I've been comfortable with us having the same insurance for 4+ years because I know what to expect to pay at the doctor offices, pharmacy, etc. With our new insurance our co-pays are going to be higher than what we're used to so I'm considering checking into the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club. For just $20 a year our whole immediate family can be covered - even pets! - to receive discount prices on prescriptions. Doesn't sound too shabby, right?

Other benefits to the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club includes:

  • Discounts on flu shots, nebulizers, diabetic supplies
  • Savings on 8,000+ brand-name medications and on ALL generic medications
  • Bonuses when you purchase the Walgreens-brand products and photo-finishing services.

This would be great if we could use it as a supplement to our insurance. Anything that can help make the price lower on prescription medications is a plus in my book!
