11 months old!

Yesterday On July 27th you turned 11 months old! (Can you tell this post is late, again? You haven’t wanted your picture taken the past few days). It is incredibly hard for me to believe that in less than a month you will be ONE! Ohh, how time flies.

You have made so much progress in the last month! You can walk unassisted for about 5 steps (first time doing this was on July 19th, though you’d been taking two steps here and there for longer). You walk really good holding onto just one of our hands (it’s more like running actually).  You are still the super-cruiser and crawler and you realize that you can get to things faster that way right now.

You are sleeping wonderfully in your crib and are usually down for the night by 8:30-9. You wake up between 4:30-6:30 and want to come into bed with us. I don’t mind this one bit because I have really missed the all-night co-sleeping snuggles! We (you & I) usually sleep until around 8-8:30am.

We bought you a potty this month and decided to try EC. Within a minute of sitting you on there for the first time, you peed! You’ve used the potty numerous times since then (#1 and #2 – ha!) and I am starting to pick up on your cues better. Of course, for now, you are still wearing diapers (size 3).

The day before you turned 11 months (on July 26th) we gave you your formula in only sippy cups – no bottles. You haven’t had a bottle since the night of the 25th and it’s been going SO smoothly.

You have at least one more tooth (for a total of nine) but possibly more. Whenever I try to get a new count, you refuse to let me see! You still love to put anything and everything in your mouth…we have to watch you like a hawk!

Your hair is getting much longer and the curls are busting out in the back and on the sides– I love it!! You are just wearing bows now, without the headbands.

You can say momma, dada, hey, bye, bath time (although it sounds more like ba ty), no, and a few others that I can’t think of right now! You also like to “sing” along when we sing Jesus Loves Me to you. Melts my heart! This is the main song you’ll hum to. Maybe because I sang that song a lot to you while I was pregnant.

(Yes, that is her bulb syringe for her nose that she’s holding. She LOVES that thing. Ick!)

I am continuously amazed at how my love for you grows every single day! I love you more than I did yesterday, but not as much as I will tomorrow!!

You are our WORLD and we are BLESSED to call you our daughter!!
