It’s Week 2 of Friendly Debates With The Danielles!

This week’s topic is: “Trick-or-Treating: Yay or Nay? What do YOU say?”
We say YAY!

I know there is much debate about celebrating Halloween and going trick or treating if you are a Christian (which is why this is the perfect topic this week!) but for us it’s not about glorifying demons or anything of that nature. I mean just look at the picture; Kynlee was a cute little ladybug…not a scary, evil-looking monster. It is SIMPLY about dressing up in a cute costume and showing her off to family and friends! That being said, Luke and I will watch a scary movie on occasion and I don’t think that makes us any less of Christians, either. But now I’m getting off topic…
At my sister and BIL’s house
Growing up we always went to the Fall Festival at church and went trick or treating to the grandparents’ houses and a few other family members and friends’ houses. We did (and will continue to do) the same with Kynlee and future children when it comes to trick or treating (although we didn’t go to the fall festival at church this year, I hope to add that in next year!). She had so much fun and even learned to say “trick or treat!”…though it sounds more like “tik-a-teet”!
Trick or Treating at Grandma’s and having some sucker for the first time! Sad we didn’t get to see Papa :(.
We had a blast trick or treating with Kynlee and look forward to doing it again next year!
