Kynlee Grace you are 9 months old and getting to be such a big girl! (I’ll save y’all the “oh my gosh where does the time go” spill THIS month… but it will probably return next month
).
There was some craziness going on with the lighting during several of these 9 month pics and editing only made it worse but it’ll have to do!

At 9 months old you can say: Bye (or bye-bye), Hey, Dada, MaMa. You first started saying bye around 7 months old, then came DaDa, and just recently MaMa and Hey.
You like to wave all the time and it is the cutest thing in the entire world when you do! When you wave and say bye-bye at the same time? Melts my heart. We’re trying to teach you that you can say “hey” or “hi” when waving also and that waving doesn’t just mean bye!

You now have 6 teeth! Four on top and two on bottom. As I’m typing this a few days early, I’m wondering if I will have to come back & edit this part before posting because you are getting teeth sooo fast now! If not 2 at the same time, they are within a week of each other. The last one snuck up on us because for once you weren’t fussy with it/didn’t run a fever/didn’t have an upset stomach. That makes me very happy!
You still love to chew on things (especially now with your new teeth) and everything still goes in your mouth!

You know how to sign “milk” but only do it when you want to. Other signs we’re working on are: Daddy, Momma, more, finished, please, book.
You have been giving the best hugs and kisses for several months now but just recently you’ve started saying, “Mmmmuahhh!” when you kiss us!

You also make “Mmmm” sounds when you are enjoying whatever it is that you’re eating. I love to hear it! Earlier this month you tried yogurt and found it delicious! Last week you had steak and corn-on-the-cob for the first time and seemed to thoroughly enjoy both!

You pull up on ANY and EVERYthing and I’m just waiting for you to take off running! Your little legs are so strong (and always have been) but maybe, just maybe you’ll hold off on walking for a little while. Your dad and I were both walking at around 9-10 months so we’ll see! You are certainly keeping me busy with all of your crawling/exploring but I know I’ll be even more busy when you start walking!

Speaking of exploring, we desperately need to get to baby-proofing! I'm able to keep a good eye on you right now but that won’t always be the case. You’ve already shown a fascination for outlets :-/!
You love to look out the door and watch for daddy to come home! You are also able to see Maddie & Gabbie (our labs) acting silly.

Five nights ago we started putting you in your crib, in your room, for bedtime. Before that, we had transitioned you back to the bassinet beside our bed. You slept fine in it for several nights but we quickly realized that you could climb out of it onto the bed so it’s not safe for you to use anymore. We figured this was a good time to start offering the crib.
Here’s how it’s gone so far:
Night 1: Slept all night!
(We were shocked since you had never even wanted to nap in it before. You cried out twice but went straight back to sleep once you had your paci.)
Night 2: Woke at 2:30am. Came to mommy & daddy’s bed.
(I tried my best to console you without taking you out of the crib but it wasn’t working so we co-slept the rest of the night.)
Night 3: Slept all night!
(Second all-nighter… could this possibly be working?)
Night 4: Woke around 2:15am. Came to mommy' & daddy’s bed.
(Once again I tried to console you without taking you out of the crib. I tried for over an hour. You weren’t having it so we co-slept the rest of the night.)
Night 5: Slept all night(ish)!
(It was very hard to get you to sleep because as soon as we’d lay you down, you’d wake up crying. You finally passed out around 11pm and you didn’t wake up until 5am! It’s earlier than you normally wake up but I’ll consider it all night. You then came to mommy & daddy’s bed for a couple more hours of snuggly sleep.)
Your crib-sleeping is a work in progress! We are not forcing it in any way. I do want you to be able to sleep in it more so I try to get you back to sleep in there but if it’s not working, we are still enjoying co-sleeping (atleast part of the night)! I am so proud (but also a little sad) that you’ve slept so good in it without having done so before. That first night was horrible for me. While you slept all night, I didn’t sleep a wink! They say it gets easier for baby and mommy… we’re a little skeptical right now but we’ll see
…

Happy 9 months, little bit!!! It is really hard to believe you’re 3/4 of a year old!You have been such a blessing in our lives! You are learning new things every single day and we love watching you grow!

“I’ll love you forever….
I’ll like you for always…
As long as I’m living,
My baby you’ll be!”
